Welcome to our Insignia Trade pages

(Important Information - Please Read)

First, let me take a moment to say a few words here that might help to make the overall trading experience a pleasure for both of us. I decided to try this method simply because I grew tired of trying to keep lists up to date, and then being asked to send scans. I figured lets just cut out the middleman here.

This is a hobby, and as such should always be enjoyable. I try not to stress out over trades. Twenty years of law enforcement in New York City taught me that there are always more important things to worry about.

Important: Please do not take offense if I decline a trade. There are a number of patches that I have listed here that are simply rare. Even though I have an extra for trade, doesn't mean that I am willing to part with it for just any patch on my want list. It just means that in over twenty years of collecting I have come up with a 2nd. If you are really interested in a particular patch, and don't have something I need, I will entertain monetary offers as well.

Categories: I have tried to compile the patches by Federal, State & Foreign. If the patch is from a Federal Task Force / Operation it will be under the Federal patches. If you are looking for patches from a particular state, please  be sure to visit the both the Federal & State pages just to make sure.

New / Used: The majority of the patches I have listed are new, some are uniform takeoffs, but all are presentable. I have never had a problem with uniform takeoffs. As a matter of fact, it made it a lot easier for me to determine what was real and what was questionable. Being a retired cop, someone's uniform patch also holds a special place in my eyes. It's "been there, done that" as opposed to the brand new, never used, uniform shop one. I understand that some collectors like "pristine" patches, so please let me know if this is an issue for you.

Reproductions: A word here about these items. I am strictly opposed to reproductions when they are passed off to collectors as originals. I think they can have a place in the hobby, but the way they are proliferating the hobby is of great concern to me. When I know a patch is a reproduction, I have added an (R) to the image. Unfortunately, I am not an expert on all patches, so I can only try my best. If you see something that concerns you, please contact me and let me know. If you know something is a repro, please advise me so that I can mark it as such. The only way to clamp down on this proliferation is if we work together.

Contact: Please note, that the majority of my patches are limited to single pieces. If you are interested in something, contact me to ensure that it is available. I will try to update this list as often as possible, but all items will be traded on a 1st come basis.

Sizes: I have tried to note on the various patches whether or not an item is small (Hat). Since I am not an expert in all patches, I might label something as a "HAT" patch, when in fact it is just a small size regular patch. If you have any questions about an item..... ASK, Please.
