In Loving Memory P.O. Charles "Chuck" Kobel, NYPD (Ret.)
Welcome to our Website: (Last Up Date: July 10th, 2010)Thank you for taking this opportunity to stop by our new home on the world wide web. We had several previous sites we used for our personal collecting use, but the space constraints imposed by those free hosting companies always seemed to be more hassle than anything else. Now that I have the time to invest, I wanted to create a professional website where collectors could come and see what we have for trade, what we have in our collections, and also what we are looking for. I have always found that a photo is worth more than the most grandiose description. And since my last trade list was over twenty pages long, that's a lot of writing !! Besides, how many times have you gotten really excited about a patch on a list, only to find out it wasn't the one you thought it was........... see pictures are better !!!!!!
Who we are:My introduction to collecting started in 1986 when I was a rookie Police Officer. I received my first patch from the German Federal Border Patrol and I was hooked. During the past two decades I have gone through many different phases. I even once had the grand idea to collect "All" Federal patches...... yes, I know there are a lot of people who just chuckled at that one. A divorce a number of years back caused me to sell off a large chunk of my collections, but I have rebuilt slowly over the years and have refined my interests. Now with a supportive wife, and children who are the next generation of collectors, I have begun to re-focus. Oh yeah, and retiring from the NYPD after twenty years of service has helped with the former time constraints that always seemed to keep me from accomplishing this in the past. So what do we collect? Well, we all have our specialties, and our side collections. Here is a brief running list of what we are generally interested in.
So, on that note we will bid you a fond journey through our site. If you have comments, questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Fraternally yours, Andrew & Nancy Nelson
